Nanjing

We left for Nanjing on Monday, May 21 by train again.
Some highlights in Nanjing were singing at the Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, visiting and singing at the Amity House of Blessings - an orphanage for mentally challenged children, the master class we held for students at the Nanjing Arts Institute, and a tour of Fuzimiao (Fuzi Temple).

We were able to sing several songs at their chapel service at the seminary. The most beautiful memory was singing "Blessed Assurance" with the Chinese students. We stood in front singing in English and them facing us singing in Chinese. No words really can explain what was experienced there. That was by the best thing of the trip. I look forward to heaven simply because of times like this, there won't be a language barrier, we will all look different and all be praising the same God. Thank ya Lord! :-) Music really is a universal language.

The next night we broke into groups and ate with the seminary students at Pizza Hut. They shared some stories with us and I spoke pretty closely with the young lady Shao Shan.

At the Nanjing Arts Institute, we mixed together and sang some Chinese folk songs together. They also sight read some of our songs, but we also sang a couple of songs at the master class.
Good times in Nanjing!
